Heaven and Earth

  • Rieth Recital Hall 1700 South Main Street Goshen, IN, 46526 United States (map)

This performance will feature a pre-concert lecture given by Dr. Jerry Blackstone at 3:15 PM. Come early to hear concert insights from our world-renowned guest conductor!

Our Spring concert features Morten Lauridsen’s ethereal Lux Aeterna and Jake Runestad’s American Triptych, based on the writings of three American naturalists.

Our artistic director Scott Hochstetler is finally taking a sabbatical since his debut in 2011! But our choir and our audiences are in for an incredible treat when Grammy® Award-winning conductor (and Scott’s former teacher!) Dr. Jerry Blackstone takes Camerata’s reins for our Spring Concert. Blackstone was the Director of Choirs and Chair of the Conducting Department at the University of Michigan for the majority of his career. He is also an active guest conductor and workshop presenter and has appeared in forty-two states as well as New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Sicily. He is currently serving as a visiting conducting professor at the University of Notre Dame.

Join us for this concert on Friday May 8, 2026 at the AMBS Chapel in Elkhart, or on Sunday May 10, 2026 at Rieth Recital Hall in Goshen.

Accessible seating is available for this event. Contact info@thecameratasingers.org for more information on any accessibility accommodations you may need.
